Event Summary
Singapore ACC Watch Manager contacted KL ACC and asked to speak with the Supervisor. However, the Supervisor at KL ACC was apparently busy replaying the tape recording of the handover at IGARI.
Singapore ACC wanted to confirm details of the DETRESFA message it had received from WMFC and to clarify whether there was positive radio and radar contact (after IGARI).

0511:27Singapore ACC initiated the call and informed that it was first alerted by Hong Kong ACC who had made enquiries to ascertain the status of MH370.

0654:10Singapore ACC Watch Manager contacted KL ACC and asked to speak with the Supervisor, but was told he was busy at that time.
Singapore ACC advised that Hong Kong "just sent a AFTN to Singapore to help check they have sent out a detresfa." This was clarified when Singapore said that "I have a detresfa AFTN message sent by WMFC" and KL ACC said "WMFC is from us".
Singapore ACC also attempted to clarify whether there was positive radio and radar contact (after IGARI). KL ACC advised he would call back later because the Supervisor was "taking the playback tape now".
