Decoding MH370 - English Language Usage

English may be a second language for many readers of this website. So in addition to all the technical terms and abbreviations the tooltips created for this website also include explanations of uncommon English words.

A Tooltip is some additional information which appears on the screen when the cursor or mouse pointer is placed over some text which is faintly underlined.

The list below has two parts:-

  1. words in bold print: these are variations on an English word used somewhere in this website and probably sourced from an official document which has been quoted
  2. an explanation of the word which may also include an example of how it has been used.
