Buffalo Airways Douglas DC-3C Incident (2013)
Buffalo Airways Douglas DC-3C Incident
When Captain Zaharie Shah's personal flight simulator was examined by the Royal Malaysia Police the log files showed that Zaharie had 'flown' several different aircraft types including a Douglas DC-3.
The airport selected for the Douglas DC-3 simulation was CYZF. This is Yellowknife in Canada.
On 19 August 2013 a Douglas DC-3C operated by Buffalo Airways crashed shortly after take-off.
Details of the incident are included here because it obviously interested Captain Shah. Similarly, an article about Douglas DC-3 aircraft has also been added.
One of the features of PC-based flight simulator software is that different types of aircraft can be 'flown', including famous but old and rare ones like the DC-3.
