Malaysia Airlines Airbus A380
Malaysia Airlines operated six Airbus A380 aircraft. The first A380 in the fleet was delivered to Malaysia Airlines in May 2012. The fleet was retired in 2022.
In 2017 the wide-body Airbus A380 aircraft were used on routes to London, Jeddah and Medina[1]. Prior to the pandemic the A380 flew twice daily between Kuala Lumpur and Heath Row, London. But the fleet was grounded at the beginning of the pandemic.
Each plane could carry 494 passengers - 8 in First Class, 66 in Business Class, and 420 in Economy Class.[2]
The final flights were to Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées Airport to be stored - apparently Malaysia Airlines was unable to sell them.
