Muktesh, a Male aged 42, was a Canadian national.
Muktesh was travelling with his wife Bai Xiaomo. Their two children were not with them.

China-based Canadian couple Muktesh Mukherjee and Bai Xiaomo were the only two Canadians on board the flight.
Local newspapers reported Indian-born Mr Mukherjee, 42, worked as vice-president of China operations for US-based company Xcoal Energy & Resources.
The pair had lived in Montreal and Chicago before moving to China, where 37-year-old Ms Bai was born.
The couple reportedly have two sons who were staying with their grandmother in Beijing while their parents went on holiday. ABCAU-021

Mukherjee was the grandson of Steel and Mines Minister, Mohan Kumaramangalam, who was killed in a plane crash in 1973. Mukherjee worked for XCoal Energy and Resources, a company based in the United States. He’s the company’s vice-president of operations in China.
Mukherjee and his 37-year-old wife were returning from a vacation in Vietnam. The Canadian couple have two sons, aged nine and two, who often travelled with them on vacations. This time, they stayed behind in the family home in Beijing. Mukherjee met Bai in January 2002 while he was on business in Beijing and she was working as his translator. ATWMY-019-1

Mr Mukherjee is the grandson of Mohan Kumaramangalam, an Indian politician who was killed in a plane crash in 1973.
Mr Kumaramangalam was Steel and Mines Minister under India’s former prime minister Indira Gandhi, and died when Indian Airlines flight 440 crashed near New Delhi four decades ago, killing 48 passengers.
A member of Mr Mukherjee’s family said they were devastated by what appeared to be a second air disaster in their family. NCPAU-006
